Back on the water
We all finally got out on the lake again today and it was so beautiful! Scott and Ethen have been up with scouts and stuff, but the rest of us have had a couple weeks without boating. I even got up on the wake surfboard. It is just like a real surf board with no straps for feet and you surf on the wake right behind the boat. Once you get posititoned right you can let go of the rope and just keep going. It was really fun! When you don't have a ocean to surf on this is great. Although I must admit that it only made me want to really take up surfing. I guess that will have to wait though since I am nowhere near an ocean. We anchored for a bit and got out to swim. That ended up being cling to mama time for Luke and Paisley. They both loved getting in to cool off, but would not let anyone touch them except for me and I had to keep a good grip around them to keep them happy! Good thing our life jackets keep us really boyant :) At one point I took paisley in the water with just her life jacket on and a naked bum. The kids just got a kick out of that and thought we were being so rique, Hahaha. So now we are all a little more tanned than we probably need to be and are tired out.

Little Chef Cooking Classes
Today the kids finally had a summer activity to take up some of their time. A new blogger friend of mine (thanks Holly for getting us all together), started some little chef cooking classes. Ethen and Phoebe had their 1st one today and made pizza and dessert pizza. They had a really great time (thanks Emily!) and are only sad because the next class is like a month away.

Aviator Park
So I finally went out to a great park called Aviator. They have some really fun planes to ride on. Of course my kids take those toys to their limit and ride them as hard as possible. Luke was even standing on the wings at one time riding it back and forth like a surfer. I didn't get the camera out in time to catch that. This park also has a splashpad which is great for keeping cool in our super humid heat. Ethen was up on the lake with the scouts and Scott so he isn't in these pics.

1st Swim Meet this year
Phoebe had her 1st meet yesterday and she did sooo good. She swam in 5 events, got 3 1st place and 2 4th place. It was an evening meet, which ended up being good because it was soooo HOT yesterday. My cousin,Natalie and her two kids, are here for a short visit and came out to support Phoebe in the 4 hour meet! Thanks for being such a trouper with the kids and heat Nat. Luckily there was a nice enclosed park righ next to the pool so the kids could play.

Hair Styles
So I found this new blog Hair Today by looking through other friends blogs of course. Anyway, it has inspired me with some fun ideas for Phoebe's hair. I have a hard time coming up with things on my own that aren't just a basic pony or braid and I love this site because it shows step by step pics. So here are a couple of the latest. It has been fun!

ugly shoes
So I never thought I would be a person to buy those crock shoes. I think they are so ugly. However, when I saw some at wal-mart for $5 I thought they would be great for Paisley to run around in and I wouldn't have to worry about them getting all muddy. Well I was right and now she has 2 pair and Luke has a pair too. They are so great. They float, don't get wet, and can be washed off and just slipped on. I see why so many people are totally into them now. But I will stick with my $5 wal-mart ones and not get the pricey real kind.

world travel
Tonight I had a Relief Society enrichment with a Hawaiian theme. I was telling Phoebe about this and how they were some people there hula dancing and she says to me, "I already know how to hula dance" to which I reply, "how is that?"
Phoebe: I already learned
Mama: where did you learn?
Phoebe: In Mexico? There were two girls doing it there and I followed along
Mama: Ummm, do mean in Hawaii?
Phoebe: Mexico, Hawaii, same difference.
Mama: Not the same at all. In Mexico they speak spanish and Hawaii is way over the ocean.
Phoebe: Oh yeah, hahahahahaha.
And here I thought that having Phoebe be a world traveler would help to educate and enlighten her; give her a sense of what the different places are like and at the very least help her understanding of geographics of the countries we have visited. I guess we will still have to work on all of those. It did give me and the babysitter we were driving home a good laugh though :)

Haha
I can't tell you how often I turn the camera on and find that the kids have had some fun taking pictures. This one made me laugh out loud and so I thought I would share it with all of you. I mean he's takin it so he must want it to be seen :) I don't know why the goggles are on his head either, but I think they really bring out the blue in his eyes.

Yard Sale
Today we had a yard sale (sorry no pics). My neighboor was on top of things and got a permit 2 weeks ago and gave us all the heads up to get out stuff ready. For me this was very good because it takes awhile to gather things together for a yard sale. Plus both the little ones were sick and so that makes things go even slower when they want/need to be held and cuddled to feel better. I was up at 5:45 a.m. (insanely early) getting everything hauled outside. My nighboor, Diane, wanted to start at light so we did. It was actually fun, but I kept feeling like it was later in the day than it really was. Anyway we fared pretty good and sold most of the stuff we put out, so I considered it a success. Only now i have things to put away that were being stored in some of the things we sold. I really need to get things organized around here. It seems like there aren't enough places for things to go. On a side note, Paisley had a seriously projectile nasty vomit tonight. I really have never seen barf like that before that just went out feet, and wasn't baby spitup. Poor thing is so tiny already that I get so sad when she is sick and won't eat because she gets to frail. Hopefully she will be feeling better tomorrow and be able to eat a little more. Well now that I have totally made you gag, have a great day :)!

She does eat candy
Paisley is my one and only baby who is NOT an eater. She hardly eats all day long and won't eat anything she doesn't like. She DOES like sugar though. Scott thought he would get her off his treats by giving her a real hot Hot Tamale, but she loved it and now knows where Daddy's stash is. Guess she is smart enough now to remember where she sees something put.
She stands here (even when the cupboard is closed) screaming and pointing
To get me to get her these
She wins
This girl is 100% Daddy. I HATE red cinnamon tasting on anything. And what kind of 1 year old likes to get her mouth burned off anyway? Seems a little crazy to me :)

Fees
It's official, Craigslist beats Ebay. I am a long time Ebay lover. Love to find deals and win the auctions. However, selling on Ebay = fees, fees, fees. It is a good way to get your stuff out to more people, but just getting our money through paypal incured another fee (I think). I'm not actually sure if that was paypals way of telling us our fees taken out for ebay or if it was on top of that. Obviously I am new to the selling realm of it all. But the free listing on Craigslist is sooo much nicer. Just my little rant for the day. Now I'm off to mail some motorcycle boots to the lucky winner :)

Yet another example of Luke's climbing finesse. Watch how he shimmies himself up with his arms.

Phoebe's 1st grade program
Today Phoebe had her 1st grade end of the year program. They sang 3 songs and then were handed certificates for core values. Phoebe was chosen as one of eight kids to be in a group in front while singing one of the songs because she had such great moves :) It was really cute to watch and I got some video of it ,but it is kinda hard to see so I won't put it on here. They told the kids to dress nice and so Phoebe decided her Easter dress would be perfect. Luckily there were other girls there that decided to get really dressed up too. I can't believe she will be in 2nd grade next year. She is growing up too fast.
