Spring Break
This week was spring break for the kids. We spent a few days at a great YMCA family camp with lots of good friends and temperature controlled cabins with running water. My kind of camping. Some great campfires to sit around and perfect weather for the kids to run around with eachother from sunup to sundown. This has become somewhat of a tradition with friends and the kids have such a good time. John came up for a night and a day to hang with the family and almost insane amount of kids that are together at these events. This year we were even served 4 of our meals and it was pretty good food too. We had putt-putt golfing , rock climbing, archery, hay rides, candle making, canoeing, fishing, and games to keep everyone occupied.

Yo-yoing
Ethen has found a sudden fascination in yo-yoing recently. Luckily Scott learned from his father (yo-yo master) and is able to teach Ethen a few tricks. All Ethen could ask us is if we could go to the store to buy a yo-you all week. He lost his blue butterfly one and had to get a replacement. Uncle John made his day and brought a yo-yo to him (thank you John). So he has been working on a few tricks and now is checking out every kind of yo-yo there is online. He makes some funny faces while doing tricks :) But I sure am relishing that he is interested in something non tech. Back to some good old fashion kid toys!!!

Happy Birthday to our Little LoveBug
Paisley turned 3 today. I can hardly believe she is 3 already. She is still so tiny and petite, but makes up for it in will power, strength and decibels. We had a fun little party with another adorable cake by Tina and invited her closest little friend, Camille, and their family over to celebrate. Paisley requested TinkerBell cake and Tina picked a pouty picture that represents Paisley's personality just perfectly. She loved the book and heart pillow sent by Great Granny, the cute doll with a backpack and bottle sent by Nana and Papa, and the mermaid from Grandma. Paisely is a girly girl and loves all thing princess and dolly. She had to open everything right away and get into the dressups Camille gave her and walk all over the house together with the babies and mermaid. I love this stage of little girl, soooo girly and adorable and sweet. Happy Birthday to my baby.

An apron sewn by Phoebe so they can play in the kitchen together

Working Mama
Sorry there isn't enough time to blog. I have started working full time at an optometrist office. It is right down the road from my house. I am into week 2 and really like it so far. The doctors are both really nice and the office staff are all great and were so friendly to me. It made for a very easy transition. With that being said I won't have as much blogging going on here, but will try to keep everyone up to date as anything exciting happens. I do realize that i could write a lot more on this subject, but don't have the desire to right now. AND Lost is on soon :)

Family Vacation Time!!!!
We took a little road trip/family vacation last week to Eden, Utah. It was a lot of driving, but the kids were so good and we had a dvd player in the car (that made all the difference). My brother Nathan and his family came up to the mountain with us for a couple days. That worked out really nicely since Jen and I could trade days watching the little kids and taking turns on the mountain. Ethen and Phoebe got right back out there and were happy to be on the snow again. Luke had his first try at snowboarding and did a great job. He was a little stud out there and wanted nothing to do with the bunny hill, so we took him right up the chairlift and he made his way down the mountain several times.

After 4 days at Powder Mountain we went down to St. George and spent a couple days at Nathan's house. It was so fun to be able to spend so much time with them and let the cousins play till they dropped. We had a great time hiking on the red rocks one afternoon. It was so pretty.

Static car hair (and a messy face)
Paisley had been saying for weeks that she wanted to go skating on our trip and amazingly we found a cute, tiny town that flooded the park and turned it into a skating rink. There was a BBQ restaurant across the street that rented the skates for $2. This day was also Ethen's birthday (he is 11 now!!!!) and so we skated after dark with a lit outdoor rink and then ate some great BBQ for dinner and warmed up.Saturday, January 2, 2010

A New Year Miracle!
I can't believe it. I am almost afraid to even type it. Paisley is officially potty trained! I randomly decided to put panties on her a couple days ago after she used an entire box of wipes to "decorate" a sparkly tree. I told her that she had to wear panties now because we had no more wipes to clean her with. For some reason she decided that sounded like a good idea and she has been using the potty ever since! And she found another carton of wipes, but that didn't make her change her mind about finally being a big girl. I am so happy about it, but at the same time feel a little sad that my baby is really growing up.
