Boating with Family

My Mom, Jen, Graeme, Annie, and Toby all came to Texas for a visit and we spent a fun day on Lake Lavon. It was a little windy in the morning, but turned out to be a perfect day with silky smooth water by the time we left. Graeme was able to get up on the wake board and surf board for the first time. We all had fun and the water kept us cooled off.  John had class that day but Liz was able to join us as well.  We didn't even have enough time to tube, so they will just have to come back so we can do it another time.  Here are a bunch of pictures from the day.

Luke's 7th Birthday

Luke turned 7 on May 27th. He is such a sweet, funny, loving, and amazing boy. We love him so much and love to hear the things he says and watch him at everything he does. He is constantly keeping us laughing and smiling.  On his actual birthday I made him a rainbow cake and the boys built a bonfire. John and Liz came up to celebrate as well and we had a nice night.
A sweet new bike for our growing boy

This picture looks like Luke's arm caught on fire, but the camera just did some magic while I was taking the picture.  Even funnier is that he was making this face and we didn't know it would turn out like this.  Luke was so excited when he saw it.
For Luke's birthday party he invited a few friends to go and see the new Madagascar 3 movie. Tina made him a cake with the movie theme and we had a great time. Everyone really liked the movie and I was so grateful to have Ethen and Phoebe go to the theatre early to save seats for our group. It was a good thing because it was openeing day and sold out.

Homemade Snow Cones!!

A few weeks ago Luke was telling us how he wanted to be the ice cream man when he grows up.  So with that information my Mom thought that getting a snow cone machine was the perfect birthday present.  She was right. This machine is really amazing and now he can have snow cones anytime he pleases!
