HIgh Adventure 2010

Scott had another amazing High Adventure trip with the scouts in our ward. They did some beginner scuba diving, saw Carlsbad caverns, and hiked a 12,000 ft peak. He was gone a week and was able to get everyone back in one piece and grow closer to the Lord as well. I'm so glad he is able to go on these great trips with the boys. He is a great example to them and our family of what is important.

1st place

Swim season has started again. Phoebe had her 1st swim meet of the season and she did awesome! All 1st place ribbons this time!! She is so fun to watch and I love how much she loves to swim. Her strokes are getting so good and she beat everyone by at least a body length. This year is a good one for Phoebe since she still can compete in the 7-8 age bracket. She is the oldest one in her bracket on our team and probably on most teams, and since she isn't 9 until the end of July she qualifies to swim in that bracket.

Camping & Boating

Pictures from our camping weekend over Memorial Day. We went out to Possum Kingdom Lake and camped in tents for the weekend. It was hot, but the water was still cool and we had a good time. The weekend wasn't without some hiccups but we took it all in stride and came home with some good sunburns.

Happy Birthday Luke

Luke is 5! On his birthday I made waffles for breakfast with a candle on top. We gave him a speed racer bike (sorry I didn't take a picture, I was taking video). Grandma and Granny sent cash and he was ecstatic about it. A few days later we had a party with just a few friends. They painted on mini canvases, played pin the seed on the watermelon, had a watermelon eating contest, and lots of games. Tina made a watermelon cake that really looked like a watermelon cut in half. It started splitting a bit so then we said it looked like a watermelon that had been dropped.

Growing!

Look at how much our pumkin patch has grown in just a week! The flowers have started to bloom and we have learned that not every flower turns into a pumpkin. There are girl and boy flowers on each vine. So far I have only been able to spot one girl flower and I hope it gets a pumpkin, but I am assuming this thing will be growing a lot more and we will have many more girls popping up in the near future. This is so fun :)
