Growing!

Look at how much our pumkin patch has grown in just a week! The flowers have started to bloom and we have learned that not every flower turns into a pumpkin. There are girl and boy flowers on each vine. So far I have only been able to spot one girl flower and I hope it gets a pumpkin, but I am assuming this thing will be growing a lot more and we will have many more girls popping up in the near future. This is so fun :)

That pumpkin plant will take on a life of its own and will soon take over your entire back yard!!!

Haha!! If you want to be sure, you can pluck a male flower and pollinate some of the girls when their flowers are open! That's so much fun! I can't wait to see the photos of you losing all your children in the overtaken backyard!

Wow! Maybe you can have a fall pumpkin patch, give kids rides in a wagon and sell pumpkins! You could end up with quite a crop!

Wow! Did you just throw the seeds out in the garden or did you dig a little hole? How did it spread so quickly? I can't wait to see your pumpkins when they come in :)
