In Need

Ok this post is for all you locals out there. I am in serious need of a haircut/style/highlight, etc. If any of you go to someone you like/love then I want their names and #'s. This is something that I haven't done in a long time because I have a hard time finding someone I really like and so I just keep letting it grow and grow. Don't get me wrong, I am in a long hair phase of life that I like right now, but it is getting a bit out of control in length right now. yeah, I know I shouldn't complain that my hair grows. I am starting to look a little hippie I think though. Part of my problem is that I have hardly ever gone to get my hair done and left just loving what they have done with it, so then I wait forever to go back. I may just be like my Mother and end up never figuring out what looks great on me. But at this point I just need some style cut back in and some summer blonde back! Ok, so I am hoping for lots of comments on this one. Thanks in advance :)

Silly

I was trying to get a close up picture of Luke to show how he looks like the one of Ethen below. These are what he gave me :) He kept making funny faces and then asking to see them on the camera after I would take it. The best part is that he would keep contorting his face and you could see his little eyes thinking of what the next funny face would be. This kid is a crackup!!

Twins, just 6 years apart

I found this old picture of Ethen and just kept looking at it. It looks exactly like Luke. Same smile, same way their eyes crunch up, same teeth. I guess it will be good when most of my photos have dates on them, because I can see me not knowing who is who when I look back.

Happy Easter!!!

Sister Easter Pictures

Trying to get cute pics of the kids this year for Easter Sunday was a task. It even made us late to church, but in the end I got a couple shots that aren't soo bad.

Camping In

The kids thought it would be great fun to have a camp in inside Luke's closet. They pulled everything out and made beds inside and stacked up all the boxes of baby clothes and empty boxes to make it a "fort". The funny thing about this is that they have never been able to sleep in the same room at night because they keep eachother up, but for some reason this place was magic and they got along great and went to sleep. Ethen and Phoebe promised me they would clean it all up when they were done and hopefully that will still happen. I let them sleep there for 2 nights.

The mess of Luke's room now.

Wow

Scott gave lots of the cousins rides on his motorcycle this last weekend and even Grandma took her turn for a spin. Scott was even a little rough with her on the take off, but she took it all in stride.

some kids go to the park for slides, Luke did this over and over

Dallas Zoo

It's Spring Break this week and we took a trip to the zoo for some mid-week entertainment. I guess everyone had the same idea because the place was pretty packed. Luckily most of the animals were up and putting on a great show. Luke kept saying they were all hungry and looking for food. I think his life may be slightly centered around food. Paisley liked the monkies, but mostly was just mad she had to be strapped into a stroller. Phoebe thought it was discusting how the elephant filled up his trunk with water and then put it in his mouth. I guess to a 6 year old that is like drinking from your nose. (I thought it was really cool to watch). Ethen had fun snapping lots of pictures and thought the monkey walking on 2 legs was hilarious. We had a great time

Great Grandpa

Great Grandpa Clement (Scott's Mom's Father) was in town this past weekend too. The kids have never met him so that was cool for them. You can now see where Scott gets his good skinny genes from.

New Tree

I am slightly addicted to trees right now. I just love them and am always on the lookout for a good one to plant in our yard. This is our new weeping cherry tree. I just love how the branches fall towards the ground and it is just about to bloom too. It is perfect for the corner of the garage where the ugly utility boxes are.

Stone Soup

Paisley has been a bit of a crab the past few days with not getting her normal naps and staying up late. However, today she was happy for more than an hour playing outside with Phoebe and Luke. They made some stone soup and fed it to the plants. It was really cute to see her mixing everything up and playing in the water like the bigger kids.

Cousin Campout

We had lots of cousins here this weekend and they had a night of camping out in the tent in the backyard. I went out there after it was pretty dark and took some pics and they were all screaming, "my eyes, my eyes" because the flash was really bright. It got a little cold and only 2 of the boys ended up staying out there most the night, but they even came in in the a.m.

Hmmm

Why is it when you need your kids to leave you alone for a minute they won't stop. But when you want them to stay they keep going? I guess living on a hill doesn't help them to stay close.

Passing

Our sweet nephew/cousin Peter passed away this afternoon. He battled a brain tumor for 15 months. We will miss his sweet smile. Please keep his family in your prayers.

March Madness

Happy Happy, Joy Joy

I don't know how this happened, but I am not going to question it either. Luke is potty trained!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had totally given up and put him back in diapers a few weeks ago and then last week he just started coming to me and telling me he had to go potty. After 2 days of this I realized that he hadn't had a wet diaper all day so I got the Go Diego Go underpants back out and put them on. He hasn't had 1 accident since!! He even went to church yesterday in them. It is really crazy the joy this has given me. I am completely elated at not having to change him anymore. YEAHHHHHH.

High Style

Scott came in with the mail yesterday and tossed a flyer to me and said "if they're sending me this I must be able to afford it, maybe that is what I should get." It was a trifold mailer with a picture of a couple Maserati's on it asking to come in and take a test drive. I laughed and then scott said it was addressed to him so they must be right. This was all funny enough, but then I looked at the address and it was addressed to my Dad! I totally busted out laughing. I guess we AREN'T yet qualified to get the high style mailers like some people i know. Why we get "junk" mail for my father who has never lived in Texas is beyond me, but we just throw it out with the other "junk" we get that is addressed to my mom and my mother-in-law and the builder's that used to have the lot our house is on as the office trailer for the subdivision. Seems like a lot of people live here :) By the way the price tag for this little baby is $120,000 give or take a few $1000.

Phoebe lost tooth #3 and now has quite the gap since the top and bottom are gone. She can stick her tongue through pretty good too!

Happy Birthday Daddy/Pappa WE LOVE YOU!

Paisley's 1st snow

March Snow

Late last night we looked out and the snow was falling in huge chunks! It is so beautiful when you know it will only last a short time! The kids had fun playing in it all morning with a 2 hour delay to the school start. We thought we had missed getting any snow this year, but luck just had us waiting a bit longer.

Out

I have been hit with some kind of bug this weekend. Must be leftover from what the babies had last week. It totally put me out yesterday, I didn't get out of bed all day for more than a few minutes. Today is much better, but I still feel weak. With all the laying around I have finally started the Twilight books. I am probably the last person on earth to read them and I can say I was expecting to be disappointed in them. Everyone has talked about how great they are, but I was pleasantly surprised to find myself totally captured by the book and am already into book 2. It's been awhile since I really read a book I loved and this has filled that void. Luckily reading doesn't require too much energy and I can at least do that in my state for now. Hopefully pushing the vacuum won't take too much energy either and that will get done today.
