From time to time I enjoy crocheting a new blanket. Part of the joy is going and picking out just the right colors of yarn. I may enjoy choosing colors as much as the final product that comes out. I can spend a ton of time holding different skeins together and envisioning the look they will make. Then I get started and go strong for about a week. The beginning is always fun because I am coming up with a unique pattern each time. As I go along the pattern may change a bit from what I originally intended and I really enjoy the creative process this gives me. Yet it never fails that once I hit the halfway point and know the pattern will just be repeating that I slow down and wait until a month or 2 goes by before picking it up again. This is where I am at with a current blanket. This is for a friend that is having a baby in a couple weeks though, so I really need to get back at it. There are times when color choices have been perfect and I love them the whole way through. However, this time I have second guessed myself several times along the way and have almost started over. This week I am back to loving the colors. Hopefully a new baby boy will too :)

The colors are perfect. It looks awesome.
super cute, good job.
looks awesome to me! I know what you mean about picking out yarn - that is definitely the most fun. I usually hate a project after about 2 hours of working on it and am ready to buy more yarn for the next project!
I love the colors and design. It's nice thing, too that a baby blanket doesn't have to be very big! Love, Mom
Oh my gosh - stalk away! I am totally a blog stalker so I appreciate it when others stalk me! haha! Your family has gotten so old and so adorable!
I want to learn crocheting! But I think I'm going to start with something small like a hat.
I do like the colors and the proportion of the the stripes - lucky baby!
It's fanTAStic!! Really...don't second guess yourself anymore...the colors and pattern blend so well, are really, very classic and just look amazing! I can't wait to see it done...keep plugging along! I really didn't know how talented you are!
that is so cute! I especially love the colors.
Very hip colors. That little munchkin will love it. I'm seriously impressed. The only crocheting I've ever done is around a hanger.
