Thoughts

This week Scott is off on High Adventure in New Mexico. He spent so much time planning this trip for everyone and getting everything organized. I am happy he gets to get out of here and take a trip that he will love. I am also a little glad to just be having a lazy week with the kids at home and not doing all that much. We spend our days pretty much at the pool or playing at home and dinner comes at whatever time people start to really get hungry. Bed time has gone out the window and the stress level just feels so relaxed. At some point I think I will have to get back on a more organized streak, but I am fully enjoying the summer laziness factor this week. After the last couple weeks of stress it feels nice to just sit back and enjoy my kids and the sillyness they are so full of. I have been slightly (and by that I mean VERY) on edge the last 2 weeks because Scott got laid off from work unexpectedly and that very same day I wrecked his car. It was so very unnerving to not know when another paycheck will be coming in, but I have had a sense of calm come over me in the last couple days. It will be alright at some point. I don't know when that will be and our life may take some changes, but we have our family and 4 beautiful children that are healthy and happy. The Lord has always taken care of us and I know He will continue to do so.

You are so special. Life has a way of throwing us the worst curve balls. What a wondeful and positive attitude you have. I am happy that you are able to relax at this unsettling time. There really is no point in stressing because it's not going to make things better. Good for you for being upbeat. You are so right. You do have 4 beautiful kids and the Lord will always take care of you.

We went through a hard time a couple years ago when Will got laid off only 1 month after we bought our first house. All I can say is that our Father takes cares of us, and it's in these trying times that you really learn who your friends are. I hope things work out for the best and I will keep you all in our prayers...in the meantime...what a great attitude! You are the one who holds your family together!

wow, nicole, so sorry to hear about the job! unexpected changes can really be stressful. but you're right, you'll be okay - whatever that means! it's hard not knowing what's coming around the bend, but in no time at all, it's just another memory of something you lived through.

hope you continue to enjoy the unorganized, stress-free living for a bit. we're even less structured than normal around here right now, too. love it! dinner when they get hungry is so true. hee, hee! and when daddy isn't around, it can be any old sloppy thing i want that the kids'll eat.

I feel very stressed lately but I just keep putting it out of my mind knowing it may not be easy but it will all work out somehow. And there is nothing that can replace happy, healthy kids. Let me know if you need anything!!! Seriously, I may be homeless, haha, but I can help out with anything. Love ya!!!

High Adventure sounds like the right get away...although cruises are more my cup of tea. So sorry to hear about Scott's job, hang in there. I'm sure it will work out and if it works out that you moved to Utah that wouldn't be so bad. At least for us!

It seems that many of us are facing our own very stressful trials right now. Chris and I are in the same boat....just wondering where the funding will come from for dental school this year thanks to Pres. Obama. I have found so much comfort in reading the Book of Mormon. The Lord will provide for those who are faithful. Remember to smile :) I'll keep you in my prayers.

So sorry to hear that things are not going the way you would like. Doesn't it seem like when it rains it pours and it seems like everything bad that can happen will? But then on the flip side when it rains it pours and all the good things that can happen will?? Life is so unpredictable, but you have a good attitude and have your prorities set straight--I will keep you in my prayers.

btw--I just love pheobe, she always has a smile on her face and just radiates!! and I just want to give Luke a big hug but i'm afraid he will be a little scared of a strange lady giving him loves. Such cute kids!!!

What wonderful supportive friends you have! It is so great that you feel that you are being watched over and taken care of! That kind of faith makes everything endurable. I love you so much, Mom
