In Need

Ok this post is for all you locals out there. I am in serious need of a haircut/style/highlight, etc. If any of you go to someone you like/love then I want their names and #'s. This is something that I haven't done in a long time because I have a hard time finding someone I really like and so I just keep letting it grow and grow. Don't get me wrong, I am in a long hair phase of life that I like right now, but it is getting a bit out of control in length right now. yeah, I know I shouldn't complain that my hair grows. I am starting to look a little hippie I think though. Part of my problem is that I have hardly ever gone to get my hair done and left just loving what they have done with it, so then I wait forever to go back. I may just be like my Mother and end up never figuring out what looks great on me. But at this point I just need some style cut back in and some summer blonde back! Ok, so I am hoping for lots of comments on this one. Thanks in advance :)

I'm sure Scott would agree with me, I suggest Supercuts. Price is the only thing that matters here.

I had a hard time finding someone I trusted amongst all our moves. I would schedule my hair appointments around my trips to UT. The same girl I went to in college - she is great and about 1/3 the price of all the other cities I lived. I'll give you her number the next time you are in UT... but then again she books out 10-12 weeks. Good luck!

i've been to two places since we've lived here "that elegant touch" in mckinney and "salon boutique" in frisco. i wouldn't go to either place again. so i only have 2 recommendations of places i wouldn't recommend. its not that they gave me a bad cut, i just didn't enjoy the experience(they did it too fast, too harsh for my tender head, etc.) i like to feel relaxed when i go-its my "me" time and i like to enjoy it when i'm shellin out 45 bucks(which i do since i only get my hair cut maybe 2 times a year.) if you are ever in austin,tx go to "vanity salon" it is this super cute salon in this old quaint house. its affordable for what they do and you get offered a glass of wine(yeah baby j/k) or bottled water AND you get a great neck rub and head massage and aromatherapy treatment as part of the cut/style. its awesome. and of course they give great cuts and have great stylists working there that make you enjoy it. oh, and the front desk guy is gay so he is super fun to talk to:) so, when i came here i expected places that did all that and i was disappointed. haven't found one quite nice for the price. okay, i wrote enough yet didn't give you any real good advice unless you go to austin soon. sorry. good luck.

Seriously, look for someone with the look you want and ask where they go. It's okay to talk to strangers.

I am cheap so I always go to people that cut hair out of their home. There is one lady that I have gone to a couple of times and all of my friends go to her. Her name is Karen and her #is 972-540-1189. I have also gone to a girl named Marianne and she is great with color, although she is a little slow her # is 214-578-9297. Lastly there is girl who works for Toni & Guy who will drive to your house and do it in your home while your kids watch TV, take naps- super convenient. Her name is Ali and her # is 801-427-3982. They all charge around $50 for color and $15-20 for cut but if you get color it is cheaper to add the cut. As you can tell I like to try everyone! I need to get my hair done too, I think I am going to call Marianne this time:) Can't wait to see your new do.

You know my girl. My whole ward goes to her now. And I think Corina and Jenny Chan is regular. Erika's hair on the square. Her name is Amanda :)

I found a lady I really like at Bon Chic. Her name is Collen Blakeley. She cuts and colors my hair. I like that she listens to what I want and I think she does a great job. It is hard finding a stylist you like.
