CANDY

I would just like to know why EVERY store these days has candy in it? I can't even go shopping in a clothing store anymore without there being candy bins of some sort all over the place! Don't get me wrong, I do like candy. However, it makes it very difficult to go shopping with kids in tow and not have some kind of meltdown over the sweet stuff. It is super annoying to me. Just another battle that could be avoided easily if food was left to the food stores where I am prepared beforehand to allow or not allow a treat. Does anyone else feel the same way or is it just me?

I feel the same. Until just a couple of years ago we were a completely sugar-free family. That was tough. Now that JD's health is better, we have sugar again. Our problem is gum. I don't want them to have gum. The candy aisle bugs me gum and sugar, gum and sugar. We could do without both.

they do that on purpose so you'll just buy it to avoid standing there for 5 minutes while they scream.

What really gets me is candy in Primary.....maybe its just my ward but it has got to stop!

As for the store I successfully brainwashed James and William as babies that candy was disgusting. They would say "yuck" whenever we went through the check out.

The other kids...didn't fall for it and have even attempted to "swipe" a bit. So in the case of a meltdown I go for and grab the tic tacs - they are small enough and even I like them.

But if I had a clothing store never would I have candy. Sticky fingers and clothes do not mix!

Benny doesn't even notice right now, but I worry for my family in the future. Heck, I worry for myself. I'm always telling myself I don't need that crap! They're evil I tell you....evil!
