blooms

This sunflower is the only one that is orange. It must have known I love orange and gave me a surprise. All the rest are very yellow.

Some pretty flowers are in bloom now! The best of which is the little ones who reseeded themselves into my flower bed from a pot I had some planted in last year. I just love a flower that wills its way to life :)

So pretty. Our garden is dead right now. I am going to rip it all out this weekend and start fresh!

That orange sunflower is amazing. You will have to save some seeds and see if you can et a bunch of them! Love, Mom

I know, I'm a big plant dork! But if you take cuttings from that section of the plant with the orange flower, you can reproduce it into a plant that only flowers orange! It's a mutation- growers grow stuff for years hoping for mutations like that to happen! Then you could take it to the county fair and get the rights bought up for it and make some good mula. You know, if you have time...
